MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
As a multidisciplinary organization, membership is open to all individuals involved with cancer registry
activities.
Active — A person whose primary occupation is related to cancer registry work.
Associate — Anyone interested in the purpose of the association who does not meet the
qualifications of active membership.
Inactive — A person who previously qualified as an active member but is no longer in the
work force is eligible to be an inactive member. This category includes retirees, unemployed persons and
persons on extended leave from their job.
Sustaining — Individuals, institutions or organizations interested in promoting the principles and
purposes of NCRA.
Student — Anyone who is enrolled full-time in a college-level curriculum and is interested in
NCRA's purpose but does not meet active membership requirements
International — Any person who is not a resident of a North American country. Persons residing
outside of North America are not restricted to this membership classification. The reduced membership fee
for this classification includes a subscription to "The Journal of Registry Management" and opportunities to
network and benefit from shared technical information. Members in this classification may serve on a
committee but may not vote, hold office or chair a committee.
