Continuing Education (CE) Hour Recognition by NCRA is an acknowledgement of the appropriateness of a course, program, or workshop to the education of a certified cancer registrar. Basic Workshops are NOT ELIGIBLE for continuing education hours.

If you are seeking CE hours prior to the program, use the Program Recognition Application. Please allow 3-4 weeks for your application to be processed and reviewed. Otherwise, your program may be reviewed after completion of the event.

Program Recognition Application Fees
The fee for State and Regional Cancer Registry Associations’ requests is $75 per application; the fee for other organizations (hospitals, vendors, etc.) is $100 per application. Please note, one application fee may be submitted for programs occurring over multiple dates with the same agenda. For example, a workshop being held on March 6th, May 9th, and June 27th with the same agenda, may be submitted under the same application fee. With the increasing importance of new developments in the cancer registry field and programs to promote such changes, program sponsors will pay a fee in order to request program recognition from NCRA.

• Recognition by NCRA that your program has met the requirements for continuing education.
• Identification by the Cancer Registry community who look for CE hours to maintain their credentials.
• Use of NCRA’s Statement of Approval which may be included on your marketing and promotional materials.

• Increased online awareness of your program. All NCRA-recognized programs are posted on NCRA’s Web site with approved CE’s.
