Become a Mentor

Mentoring Program is designed to assist students and cancer registrars in earning the CTR credential and to help current CTRs advance their careers. NCRA’s Mentoring Committee seeks to match mentors with the most appropriate mentee based on shared backgrounds, interests, and career goals. Mentors must be NCRA members in good standing and have held the CTR credential for at least two years.  In your role as a mentor, your volunteer time may be spent assisting prospective CTRs and/or helping your CTR colleagues attain their professional goals. By sharing the wisdom and knowledge gained during your professional career, you will be an inspiration to others. Mentors may earn CEs for mentoring. More details can be found in the FAQs below. Questions? Contact Mary Maul, NCRA’s Manager of Education, at mmaul@ncra-usa.org or 703-299- 6640 Ext. 314.

Clinical Sites Needed

Students who are completing NCRA-accredited programs offering associate’s degrees and certificates in Cancer Registry Management (CRM) or Cancer Information Management (CIM) need to complete 160-hour clinical practicums. If you work at a facility that can help these students meet that requirement, please complete the Clinical Site Form.
